Last night we had a very distressed possum in the back yard. He attacked our sliding glass door trying to get a the cat that was languishing there. My husband is recovering from knee surgery and wasn't much help in fending off the attack.
How do you get rid of an aggressive possum short of a .22?

How ever did you get rid of the possum? Did you give it a good whack with a cast iron skillet?
Actually, our dogs (they're just silly labs) are pretty good about getting rid of possums. We have have found a few dead ones in their dog run. Now..what on Earth would make a possum go into a dog yard with three big dogs?
